Writing and wealth go together like hand in glove. Sometimes doing so is fairly easy, and at other times, gaining wealth through writing can be just as difficult as pulling wisdom teeth. There are very important steps to learn and follow in order to get things in order for making a large sum of money on the web. No, not all of them will work for every single person as the foundation is different for everyone. What is the foundation? Well, the foundation is their own style of writing.
For some, writing will be a piece of cake for audiences to understand, and for others, their writing style will be a complete turn off. Therefore, understand that because one person did it quickly doesn’t necessarily mean that the bucks will roll in for you immediately. Writing is an art form, therefore, it takes hard work and practice to be good at it. Now, I could go into all of the places on the web where you can make money, however, some of that I have already written about in the earn money section of this blog.
There are a large number of tips that one can read up on that will give insight into gradually increasing income through writing, however, most people will not be able to do all of them at once. That being noted, it is very important to complete a couple at a time.
Number One: BE PERSISTENT
Have you ever started something with the goal of never finishing? Most people haven’t as they would never be able to get anything completed, including the fact that it would be a complete waste of time. Writing is one of those things that doesn’t give immediate cash, however, if for instance becoming an online freelance writer, it can increase in earnings over a monthly basis. For example, blogging…about mostly anything…let’s say a great day is approximately 100-200 page views a day for a beginning blogger. Well, the amount of people to visit that site is pretty low, however, for a beginner, it isn’t that bad as with this amount of visits, a blogger is almost guaranteed money. The longer you write, the more page views on your site. This could lead to more money.
Number Two: LINE YOUR BLOG/WEBSITE WITH LEGITIMATE LINKS AND ADS
Monetize your site well. There are those who still need to pay bills, and there are those that simply write for the joy of it all with no revenue coming in at all. The latter is perfectly fine, however, not for the majority of the people finding themselves staring down the barrel of a roll of past due light bills. Therefore, when investing in yourself, do so wisely and place ads on your site. Google ads are the most popular. There is also the YPN, or Yahoo Publisher Network, Kontera, Chitika and many more that provide more than one way to monetize your site while you write.
Be careful to read all the fine print and guidelines when signing up for these services at your website or blog. All of them work really well, however, some won’t work with others. For instance, Google is off limits with YPN. As a publisher, you would have to choose one or the other and go from there.
Number Three: WRITE A BOOK…REALLY.
It would seem that the reading age is out and the listen and talk age is in, but not so. Everything from an e-book, magazines, literature, how to books and more are still out there. Children even still read as they haven’t yet invented a chip to embed yet so … yes libraries are open for service. Bookstores are thriving still…even in the recession. What do they carry books and lots of them. Where is the money going? A portion of it to the author of that book of course. Therefore, write more than just online. Have something hard copy somewhere as it has been centuries and paper is still the in thing at colleges and universities etc. The list is endless. Batteries die in electronics, they get wet and are damaged, and on top of it all, value isn’t there. A signed or autographed copy of something written is worth far more than something digital. Take note, to make the money, write a book. From there, you own all the rights to it and do what you will.
Number Four: CONVINCE PEOPLE THROUGH WHAT YOU WRITE
Basically, don’t lie. Your word is your bond, right? Your word is something else as well. It is worth more than wealth. What good is a wealthy liar? Therefore, when writing, convince people through your experience and truth. This is solid evidence. No, things won’t happen in the ABC order as it did for you to everyone else, however, convince them through truth only that it can and will happen. Don’t give them that overnight miracle that many books offer such as become this in a week or make a fortune in five day stories. If you are going to write anything, be honest and be a convince professional about it whether it be blogging, literature, how to or children’s items. Show that you know what you are doing and the skill that you have in writing will be proven to the audience.
Great writers such as Langston Hughes and Suze Orman - both are writers but write about two totally different things yet they are convincing. The late Langston Hughes was a poet, and a soon as you read just one of his poems, the depth of his wisdom in his craft was displayed leading one to believe he is the best. Suze Orman, a money minded author and financial analyst, only can advise people as she does because people believe she knows what she is talking about. Why? She doesn’t base things off of theory, only what she knows to be the truth. Even if it doesn’t work for someone - Suze portrays confidence and quality in the quantity of things that she…yes…writes.
So in conclusion, there are so many things that can be discussed about how to gain wealth in writing. If you need to know the places where you can get started, look on the left sidebar for publishers and distributors at the bottom or follow the links to the other articles under the earn money writing category.
